Lisa Pinto is a painter and lives with her family in Red Hook, NY. The beautiful surroundings of the Hudson Valley have been her primary source of inspiration. Her art is characterized by vibrant colors and stylized compositions. She is most interested in painting animals in their diverse locales such as farms, fields, and barns. Lisa paints in the mediums of watercolor, oils, and acrylic.
Currently, Lisa is focusing her artistic talent on animal portraits where she is commissioned to photograph and paint her clients pets. It has been an extremely rewarding experience to capture the essence of ones’ pet where their expressive faces and personalities tell a story on canvas. Her love or animals and their welfare is what keeps Lisa passionate about her subject matter.
Lisa has exhibited her work throughout the Hudson Valley in both group and solo shows. She has placed her paintings in the community via restaurants, real estate offices, libraries, and banks. Her artwork can be found in many private residences. For several years, Lisa participated in the “Art Studio Views”, a tour of artist’s studios in Northern Dutchess County. From 2009-2012, she was on the steering committee of the Red Community Arts Network.
